Hey everyone, I want to talk about a future piece of content, something, something, a supplemental story called "Just a Dream - The Girl Who Disappeared."
Sooo, what is it? A prequel? A sequel? The answer is a bit more complicated than that (i feel so smort). The best way to explain its relationship to the main timeline is to use the Five Nights at Freddy's universe as an analogy. Think of my main game as... the core FNAF game series... yes. It has its own story, its own timeline, and its own mysteries. "The Girl Who Disappeared" is my version of the Fazbear Frights or Tales from the Pizzaplex books.
This story is not a linear continuation of the main plot. Instead, it’s a self-contained narrative that runs parallel to the main timeline. Its purpose is to "fill in the blanks" of the past and explore events and character motivations that are only hinted at in the main game. It’s designed to answer some questions while raising entirely new ones :]
To use the FNAF analogy again... this is not my version of The Silver Eyes trilogy. Those books were a re-imagining of the FNAF story, an alternate timeline (maybe... ask matpat) . "The Girl Who Disappeared" takes place firmly within the same universe as my main game. The events in it happened, and they have a direct, albeit sometimes subtle (I hope) impact on the main characters and the world they inhabit.

Main Game Timeline! The primary story. This is the core experience of Just a Dream.

"The Girl Who Disappeared" (DLC/Book): A canonical, supplemental story that provides crucial lore and context. It’s for the players who want to dig deeper into the mystery and understand the foundational cracks upon which the main story is built. important!!

You won't need to read it to understand the main game's plot, but for those who do, you will see the main timeline in a completely new light (once again, I hope)
